Firms with outdoor machinery: 30 days to adopt Chapter VII noise rules

Royal Decree 302/2026 adds Chapter VII to Royal Decree 212/2002 on sound emissions, setting new information requirements and air noise measurement methods for outdoor machinery. It affects companies operating such machinery, requiring updates to their acoustic control procedures. The rule comes into force on 11 April 2026, except for certain RDs entering into force on 30 May 2026 (art. 2, final provision 4).
