Companies with disabled workers to add DLSE to training records by March

Royal Decree 262/2026 adds the Spanish Sign Language Diploma (DLSE) to the professional qualifications list, enabling companies to include it in their training records and supporting employment inclusion. A three-month period is set for updating records.

In 3 key points

  1. Diplomas of Spanish Sign Language (DLSE) are established (art. 3)
  2. The Royal Decree 1085/2020 on professional qualifications is amended (art. 3)
  3. Article 10 is added to Royal Decree 625/2013 (art. 10)

How it affects those involved

Vocational training centres and education services for people with disabilities must include DLSE in their programmes (art. 3). People with hearing impairments gain greater formal recognition of their services. Public administrations must update their records of professional qualifications. The change does not directly affect workers or businesses in general.
