Companies and urban authorities: 3 months to update tree protection plans or fines up to 15,000 EUR

Law 7/2025 requires companies and urban authorities to update their tree protection plans within three months, in accordance with article 47.1 of the Statute approved by Organic Law 1/2018. This requirement aims to ensure the conservation of urban tree cover. Prior to this, there was no clear obligation to update such plans under the Canarian legal framework.
