This Royal Decree replaces Annex I of RD 990/2021, which regulates aid for telecommunications infrastructure improvements in buildings, aligning it with the Addendum to the Natural Disaster Recovery Plan. The amendment introduces new conditions for granting subsidies, particularly regarding energy consumption and sustainability. The deadline to adapt the annex is 30 days from its entry into force (Art. 4).
Autonomous communities and the cities of Ceuta and Melilla must update their aid granting procedures within the established deadlines. Beneficiaries of building subsidies must review eligibility criteria, especially concerning energy consumption. Grant advisors must verify the new requirements of Annex I and ensure projects meet the new sustainability standards. Public administrations face the risk of failing to adapt in time, which could lead to lost applications or rejections.
