AESA has established the framework for developing electronic theoretical knowledge examinations required to obtain an Aircraft Maintenance Licence (AML). The resolution regulates the organisation of the assessment system, the management of registration cancellations, and the role of proctors responsible for supervising the integrity of the process (Art. 1 and 4). The system aims to ensure the knowledge standards required by Regulation (EU) No 1321/2014.
For Aircraft Maintenance Licence (AML) applicants, the regulation imposes strict rules regarding attendance and cancellations: if an absence or cancellation is not justified or is requested with less than 20 working days' notice, registration for those modules is prohibited for 90 days (Art. 3). Examinees must undergo supervision by proctors with official authority, whose instructions must be followed; failure to comply may result in failing the test and all other registered examinations (Art. 4).
