Spanish Ice Sports Federation amends Statutes regarding General Assembly composition and functions

The Presidency of the Higher Sports Council has authorised the amendment of Article 11 of the Statutes of the Spanish Ice Sports Federation (RFEDH) (resolution of 17 September 2026). The new wording regulates the composition of the General Assembly, comprising representatives from regional federations and various sectors (clubs, athletes, referees, etc.), defines its core powers such as budget approval and the election of the President, and enables non-face-to-face meetings via telematics (Art. 11).

In 3 key points

  1. The General Assembly may hold non-face-to-face meetings via telematics, electronic means, or the internet (Art. 11.10). (art. 11.10)
  2. Individuals are prohibited from holding dual representative roles within the General Assembly (Art. 11.10). (art. 11.10)
  3. The General Assembly must meet at least once a year in a plenary session (Art. 11.6). (art. 11.6)

How it affects those involved

For the RFEDH, the regulation formalises its governance structure and its ability to operate through remote meetings, ensuring the security and authenticity of information (Art. 11.10). Regional federations and sports clubs have their method of representation in the Assembly clearly defined, with a prohibition on individuals holding dual representative roles (Art. 11.10). Sectoral representatives (athletes, coaches, etc.) are subject to regulations regarding electoral calls for their integration into the Assembly (Art. 11.1).
