Creation of the National Film Library Institute of Catalonia: modification of cinematographic heritage regulations

Law 4/2026 establishes the creation of the National Film Library Institute of Catalonia, modifying the previous regulatory framework for its operation. This provision repeals additional provision 8 of Law 21/2001 and modifies several articles of Law 20/2010 to integrate this new body into the management of cinematographic heritage (ANALISIS).

Administrations and cinematic heritage entities face a reorganisation of archival management and conservation through the creation of a new Institute. Technical amendments are introduced to Law 20/2010, specifically articles 4, 16, 24, 25, 43 to 46 and additional provision 1.6.
