No obligation to file income tax return if employment income does not exceed thresholds

A taxpayer inquired whether they must file an income tax return after receiving a retirement pension and a pension plan redemption. The Directorate General of Taxes (DGT) ruled that there is no obligation to file, as their only income consists of employment income that does not exceed the legal thresholds.

The question raised

The DGT's ruling
