Minimum allowance for descendants applies if child cohabits with taxpayer, earns under €8,000 and reports income below €1,800

The taxpayer asks whether they can claim the minimum allowance for their 23-year-old daughter who lives with them. The DGT confirms this is possible provided the daughter's income does not exceed €8,000 and she does not file a tax return with income exceeding €1,800.

The question raised

The DGT's ruling
