Royal Decree 368/2026 repeals RD 173/2004, which regulated the National Commission for Cooperation with UNESCO, establishing a new regulation regarding its composition and operation. This measure aims to modernise the international cooperation framework in education, science, and culture, aligning it with current institutional and regulatory standards (Art. 1).
Competent authorities in international cooperation must update their internal procedures and management structures in accordance with the new regulation. Those responsible for the National Commission must reorganise its composition and functions as established in the new Royal Decree. International cooperation advisors must review their documents and working protocols to adapt to the new regulation.
