Early intervention centers: call for grants to adapt services to the new State Consensus standards

Order SND/1063/2026 establishes the regulatory bases and the call to select operations aimed at supporting early intervention centers, services, and teams in their adaptation to the standards of the State Consensus for the Improvement of Early Intervention. The aid, part of the Social Inclusion, Child Guarantee and Fight against Poverty Program co-financed by the ESF+, seeks to improve the intervention model, organization, and intersectoral coordination (art. 4). The program will be executed between September 1, 2026, and September 30, 2029 (art. 3).

In 3 key points

  1. 85% ESF+ co-financing in less developed regions (Andalusia, Castilla-La Mancha, Extremadura, Ceuta, and Melilla), art. 2.2 (art. 2.2)
  2. Operation execution period: from 1 September 2026 to 30 September 2029, art. 3 (art. 3)
  3. Priority aid for centres serving children and families in situations of poverty or social exclusion, art. 4 (art. 4)

How it affects those involved

Early intervention centres, services, and teams may access funding to transform their intervention models and organisational processes (art. 4). The amount of aid will depend on the region's category: less developed regions (Andalusia, Castilla-La Mancha, Extremadura, Ceuta, and Melilla) will receive 85% ESF+ co-financing, whereas in more developed regions (Aragon, Catalonia, Madrid, Navarra, and the Basque Country), co-financing will be 40% (art. 2). Priority will be given to centres serving families in situations of poverty or social exclusion (art. 4).
