Auditors required to comply with revised NIA-ES 570 on going concern

ICAC publishes the updated NIA-ES 570 (2024 revision) on assessing an entity's ability to continue as a going concern. The update enhances audit reliability and transparency. It also includes necessary harmonisation amendments to other NIA-ES (200, 210, 220, 230, 250 and 260) to ensure regulatory consistency.

How it affects those involved

Auditors must adopt new procedures to evaluate going concern based on updated international standards. Audit firms need to incorporate these harmonisation changes into their methodologies to ensure alignment with affected NIA-ES. The aim is to improve the quality of going concern information provided to financial statement users.
