Law 1/2026 establishes AGENEX as a public business entity to manage energy in Extremadura. It will come into force on 4 July 2026, as specified in Final Provision 2. This law repeals Additional Provision 1 of Law 5/2022, which previously regulated the region's energy organisation (Art. 1).
Regional administrations in Extremadura must integrate AGENEX into their energy management processes. Users of the regional energy system will fall under AGENEX's supervision from 4 July. The repeal of Law 5/2022 means that previous regulations regarding energy organisation are no longer applicable (Art. 1).
