The Decree-Law 1/2026 amends articles 17.d) and 29.h) of Law 12/2007, expanding economic benefits for individuals with grade III+ extreme dependency. It also updates social services regulations (articles 3 and 4 of Order ASC/433/2007 and article 4 of Order ASC/55/2008). These changes enter into force 30 days after publication in the DOGC, enabling beneficiaries to access new aid from that date.
Individuals with a dependency level of III+ may access new financial benefits upon entry into force. Social administrations must update their assessment and application validation processes. Advisors and families should be informed about the new criteria and access deadlines. The validation system is simplified through the Validation Agreement published by Resolution 719/XV of 29 April.
