Candidates' representatives have 48 hours to raise irregularities in municipal council appointment

The June 9, 2026 Resolution announces the appointment of Francisco José Hortigón Corchero as councilor in Malpartida de Cáceres due to vacancy, in accordance with article 182.2 of the LOREG. A two-day period from publication in the BOE is established for candidates' representatives to raise irregularities that would prevent the appointment (art. 2). This mechanism allows interested parties to challenge the legitimacy of the local office substitution process.
