Candidates can challenge irregularities within 48 hours of concejal appointment

The Resolution of May 21, 2026, announces the appointment of Marçal Noguer Puigdemont as mayor in Bàscara (Girona) due to vacancy from no candidates on the list. A two-day period from publication in the BOE allows candidates' representatives to challenge irregularities that would prevent the appointment (art. 2). This mechanism enables review of possible electoral violations before confirmation of the appointment.
